so i am having the best winter break ever. ever. so me and allison exchanged gift on the last day of school and she got me this really really soft scarf which i abosolutely love plus this great perfume which i swear smells just like vanilla only better! and i made lizz a necklace w/ the symbol on it and she loved it, i was so happy. her exact words were, "This is hot s-x, dana hot s-x." so then me and my family went skiing in utah and we got over a foot of snow while we were there. I LOVE POWDER SKIING! and i was working really hard on learning how to carve with my skis and i got so much better at it. bess took the video camera with us and we got some really cool footage of us skiing. no bloopers, we mananged not to get any shots of my dad falling which he did a lot this week, but then again it is really easy to fall in heavy poweder and crud. and then me and bess went to this xmas party at our hotel (being the only ones there celebrating hanukah) and we met some really nice (nice meaning very good looking) waitors. especially this one guy T.G. we spent a lot of time w/ him and we listened to music on his ipod and such. it was so much fun! i really do love winter vacation. that was a great idea! my friend tom lives in scottland and they have year round schooling there. its still 180 days but is more spread out so they get three weeks for winter break! lucky!

and i am practically finished with the literary criticsm research report for english! i am so happyl i research so much and im always really stressed out during it because im so afraid i'll screw something up. plus i did a really good job on it. this morning me, my dad, my mom, my sister, and bart were gathered around my computer reading it and making changes and correcting stuff. i have like a team of ppl helping me work on it! plus ms. prevete helped my write parts of it in the first place. i am so going to ace this. plus i have an A average in all my classes, i feel so good about school. its great.

and bart got bess an ipod for hanukah so now i get all her old music. whoot whoot!

choa for now

i can't wait for break! we're actually going to utah in about two weeks. we go there every year but the mountain is so big and the snow is so big that we never get tired of it. the past two years we went, they had blizzards that left about of foot of snow. yay for poweder skiing!!

i'm actually really looking foward to the break, just because things at school have been really busy. in addition to my normal school work, we've started doing research reports in english. while i love creative writing, i cannot stand research reports. aack! also since bess is a senior, for theatre she gets to put on a senior showcase. she's decided to put on a production of one of our favorate plays, The Last Five Years. It's a two person musical about the relationship between two people, cathy and jamie. its really cool because cathy starts telling the story from the end of their relationship and works back to when they first started dating and jamie starts at the begining and works his way towards the end. plus the music rocks! everyone in our theatre class has a job to do to help in the production, like costumes and sets and stuff. i have lighting and sound, but i also get to be the stage manager! its a lot of work but im really excited to do it.

the other day in science, it was so funny! my teacher is really really boring and the other day my friend cynthia figured out that she looks just like toad, from the children's book frog and toad. the minute she told me that, i looked at my teacher and it was the spitting image of toad! i couldn't stop laughing.

on the other hand, my theatre teacher, miss aladren, is totally cool so i guess that makes up for it. we started a myspace group for our theatre class and one of the forum topics is all the crazy things she does.

i'm really anxious about getting the audition results back for regions. i probably didn't get in cuz i screwed up the silver swan. well there's always the shower...

OMG i have been soooo busy lately!!! its crazy! its supposed to be summer. im supposed to be relaxing and there's less than a month left till school starts. i don't plan to think about it until augest 29 (my orientation day). im taking honors again this year. honors english and "advanced" math. unlike some of my friends who feel like killing themselves by taking all honors. science, history, math, english, and now language too??? oh well, at least i've been having loads of fun.

like last week we went into the city to see my sister. cuz she's been taking acting class at the american academy of dramatic arts, and they had this final presentation where they all performed scenes for us. it was really fun, too. except for the part where we wanted to put the ultra heavy camera bag and my sister's areo mattress back in the car, so we wouldn't have to lug them around. so we had park in this garage and we hand them our ticket and the lady tells us our car is on the seventh floor. we ask if there's an elevator. she tells us there are stairs. so we're walking and there's and elevator for the cars and we ask the guy if he could give us a lift. no, that's what stairs are for. so we finally make it up seven hot flights of stairs and alas! there is no car. we go up to check the eigth level. no car. so we walk back down and this time we stop at every level and search for our car. apparently in parking lot lady language 7=3. because she told us seven and it was on 3. arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh. no tips for them.... (on the bright side, afterwards we went out to this really great italian restaurant. mmmmmm)

and oh yeah. me and max went to a pool party at his friend mark's house. that was tons of fun. after we swam we all played poker. (i won two hands- wheeeee!) and that was great.

and yay for vacation. ali is currently at mount rushmore. and im going to meet rachel at cape may in a few days. whoot whoot.

that's all for now,

you know when you have a million hours of homework  and you know you should really just get in but for some reason you find yourself doing things you know you shouldn't like blogging?? yeah thats what im experiencing. i call it chronic homework procrastation blog disorder.

so skits in english are so cool. lizz and i are working together and we have scenario number 2! for those of you lucky dogs who don't have mckibbin scenario 2 goes as follows:

"Sceneario #2-"Love at First Sight"- A new kid has moved into town and its his/her first day at school. You wind up sitting next to this person in English class. You strike up a conversation and discover that you're "in love." What happens next?"

the moment i saw it i knew me and dear elizabeth had to do it. so i held up two fingers to lizz (cuz mr. mckibbin was still explaining the project) and she nodded excited!! she's going to be the guy and we're calling her terrence (mr. m's first name) mcarmstrong. and im going to be brittney jessica hilton! this should be funnay!

and my sketch for art was so cool. we had to draw something from a different perspective so i drew my living room from inside my tv. (obviously i didn't go inside my tv. but i stood in front of it and drew what i saw and a hand pointing the remote control. it was so cool! or at least i think so.

and mr eitner was wearing a bright yellow suit like jacket today. i thought the purple courderoy pants were bad....hes a brilliant teacher but i want to strangle his outfits!!!

i think im done.

*dana's daily dose of wisdom-spring break should never be divided into two four day weekends. never!!
